When is the
State tournament?
The Georgia JTT
State Championship will be in Macon, on July 25-27, 2008
What
divisions are playing at State?
Divisions are a
bit different for 2008. No longer will there be 2.0 or3.5
divisions. Instead, there will be a three division- Beginner
(1.5 2.0); Intermediate (2.5 3.0) and Advanced (3.5-4.5).
Who advances
where from the State tournament?
When
registering a team for the Intermediate and Advanced levels,
teams will choose whether to play in the GOLD flight of the
SILVER flight at State. GOLD flight winners advance to Southern
Sectionals and to Nationals. SILVER flight winners advance to
the Georgia-Florida Challenger in Jacksonville. The Beginner
flights play for the State Championship only.
How many
matches must I play to advance with my team to State?
Every player
must have three (3) matches in the Tennis Link system in order
to be eligible to advance with his/her team to State. The
non-gender-specific matches DO count toward this match total. |
