Reminders:
The winning team from each division (18-under, 14-under, 12-under, 10-under) will be eligible to advance to the State Championship Tournament. We can have one winner in each division in our Fall season, and another winner in each division in our Spring season. If we get more than four teams in a division, we can send even more teams to the Championships!
1 – Rankings points will be earned for match play at the State and Sectional tournaments! USTA Georgia will award Level 5 points for the Intermediate Division at State, and Level 4 points for the Advanced Division. The Beginner divisions and QuickStart matches do not earn rankings points.
2 – The scoring format is now the best 2 out of 3 short sets. A “short set” will be four games, still with no-ad scoring. A 10-point match tie-break will be played instead of a 3rd set. This format is approved for rankings purposes, whereas the pro-set is not.
3 – Coaching is allowed during changeovers. Only the team coach/captain may speak with the player(s). All coaching is done through the fence, never on court.
4 – QuickStart JTT is for children ages 6 – 10 who have already completed at least three month’s QuickStart instruction. Read the FAQs below for more information. QuickStart JTT is NOT an instructional program but rather is a playing opportunity for those already learning the game.
